How much does it cost to participate in the Horizons Career Fair?

Participation in the Horizons Career Fair is free of charge.

I am a participant of the Horizons Symposium. Do I need to register for the Horizons Career Fair?

Yes. You will have to register, if you want to sign up for the Workshops or a CV-check. We also encourage you to register even if you do not participate in any of the just listed events. To do so, log in to your Horizons account, click the link "Career Fair Registration" and fill out the form.

Can I participate in the Horizons Career Fair without registering for the Symposium?

Yes. But you will miss the chance to meet celebrities from the fields of Structural, Cell and Developmental Biology, as well as Neuroscience and the special section "Future of Biology", and you will not get to know the people that are reshaping the current frontiers of biology in person!

Why bother registering?

Registered participants for the Career Fair enjoy several benefits:

1. Participation in the specific workshops

2. Name badge

If I want to participate only in one workshop during CF is registration still needed?

Yes. Only registered participants of CF can sign for the workshops. Moreover, with CF account you can manage you assignments if you want to participate in more events.

How do I sign up for workshops?

Register for the Career Fair and make your choice of workshops when completing the form.

How much do the workshops cost?

Participation in the workshops is free of charge, as is every event in the Career Fair.

Can I sign up for more than one workshop?

Yes. You can sign up for two workshops. However, we can not promise that you will be accepted for both.

How do you decide who participates in a workshop?

The decision is made strictly on a "first come, first serve" basis. We take as reference the time you registered for the Career Fair.

I have not been accepted for a workshop. Are there waiting lists?

Yes. You will find out about your position on the waiting list on the day of the event.

How do I cancel my participation in a workshop?

If you can't attend a workshop you registered for, please send an email (stating your name and workshop) to horizon@gwdg.de as soon as possible.
